Maddox on the Move

Maddox still hasn't shown any interest in crawling, probably because he's learned that he can fuss and we'll move him where he wants to go. He likes walking while holding on to our fingers though. He has a walker/buggy











so we got it out and put him on the walker part. He couldn't figure out that he had to move his feet when he pushed it so I changed it to a buggy and put him on and he quickly found out that he could more around on it. So far he only knows how to go backward but he gets around pretty well on it. Here is some video of him toward the end of his excursion, when he was more interested in the gadgets on the buggy, what his mom was doing in the office and getting picked up:


On Saturday we went to a BBQ competition that Jennifer's friend John was in. The Lehmans came too. There were about 30 teams competing in 5-6 categories. After submitting their entries, most teams put out food for everyone to try. There was a lot of good food but John's ribs were my favorite. Here are Maddox and John hanging out in between rounds.
















It was a pretty hot day and the competition was in a parking lot so it was pretty miserable for the tikes. Here are Maddox and Brennan trying to beat the heat.
















After a checking out all of the booths we found some shade and hung out in the grass while we waited for more food to be put out. The boys were much happier there and played with each other.



















When we got home, Maddox couldn't wait to get out of his clothes and cool off. Here he is putting out the vibe.
