Memorial Day Weekend

On Friday before Memorial Day we packed up and headed to the Lake for a weekend of fun. Friday night was pretty low key. We hung out at the house and enjoyed lasagna for dinner. Saturday, we woke to rain...and lots of it! We were worried all our outside plans would be ruined. Luckily, a drastic change in the weather happened late morning and we were able to carry on with our day. We started out having lunch at The Fish, came home for naps, and then headed to play miniature golf. Sean and I ended our evening with a delicious dinner at J.Brunners. Sean and Papi had a big golf game first thing Sunday morning. Maddox joined them on the real golf course for the very first time and then headed to the pool with Grammy and his aunties. After a big cookout we headed back to Kansas. We spent Memorial Day just relaxing at home. Great end to a great weekend.

It was hilarious!

Sage was not interested.

The fish!

Maddox was fascinated!

We kept him busy with hula hoops...

Pretty smiles.

Mini-golf was a HUGE success! Maddox LOVED it!

This is where pictures of the real golf course should be. Sadly, Sage started running a significant fever on Saturday evening and it was still around mid morning Sunday. After getting no sleep Saturday night I decided to take her to urgent care. She was feeling so bad that she could hardly keep her head up and her eyes open. After spending half the morning and afternoon in the waiting room, she was diagnosed with strep throat. Poor thing! SO, needless to say we didn't make it to the pool or golf course.

Glad you guys had a fun weekend and I hope Sage is feeling better.
