Thanksgiving- Sutton Style

We spent Thanksgiving at the Lake this year and we had a great time! We headed down on Wednesday afternoon and made it just in time to get pizza at Lake Valley. We needed that filling dinner to get ready for the big race on Thursday morning.

That's right...ALL the Sutton's participated in the 5k Turkey Trot at school.  We finished dead last but we sure had fun! Our group of 18 included, four babes in strollers and one 90 year old Nanny in a wheelchair.

Sean and Pauly ran and finished about 30 minutes ahead of us. We were at the bottom of a long hill and met them as they were running down.

 Finished!

Maddox giving Nanny a little spin around the school.

 The whole gang.

After the race we came home for showers and food. These little cuties were waiting patiently for some turkey.

And just like that, it's Christmas time! Sean and I made a quick trip to Springfield on Friday morning. While we were gone Maddox and Sage helped decorate Papi and Grammy's tree. They are pro's by now.
They took a quick break to play with Wyatt.

After the decorating was done, Sage and Gracie, had a kitchen party with some vintage play food.

Friday night we took a tour of the Christmas lights at Tan-Tar-A...something I grew up doing. We went inside the lobby to look at the big beautiful tree. The lights seemed to be a hit!

Sean and I had a date night on Saturday. While we were gone, more decorating happened.

Sunday morning before we left, Papi's little helpers refilled the bird feeders.

We were sad to see the weekend come to an end but happy to get home. We are so thankful to get to spend time with family and look forward to making many more Thanksgiving memories.
