Today's advent calendar activity was: go to see Santa. This has not gone well in the past and this morning it sounded like we were in for another bad trip to Santa. Maddox said he did not want to sit on Santa's lap. I asked him if he would sit on Mrs. Santa's lap and he said yes. We tried to keep them excited for the trip and kept reinforcing that Maddox would sit with Mrs. Santa and Sage would sit with Santa. It looked like it was going to work. We headed out to Family Tree Nursery, where we've gone the previous two years. We got there a little early and the parking lot was packed, we knew we were going to be in line a long time. Jennifer went in to get in line while I got the kids out of the car. Luckily, the many people that were there weren't there for Santa and we were second in line.
