The Big D- Numero Uno

For Sean's birthday, we planned an extended weekend trip to Dallas.
On the agenda, Ranger baseball!
We left work/summer camp early on Thursday and hit the road. We made it to Nicki's late and got settled in for the night. We were up and at 'em early Friday morning.

We took advantage of being downtown and walked to breakfast.
Let me tell you something, when kids go to bed at midnight and are up at 7:00am, they struggle at the breakfast table. "Struggle" is putting it mildly. So, that calls for immediate naps. We had time to spare so we hurried back to Nicki's and took late morning naps. It was glorious! Everyone woke up refreshed and ready for the day.
Next up, we made our way to the Gaylord Texan.
We LOVE the Gaylord hotels!
We got checked in and headed straight to the pool.

We love the Texas this much!
Who can pass up Mexian food while in Dallas? Not us!
Finally! The main event!
But, wait....poor Sage fell and skinned her knees, hand and feet while walking into the stadium. And, there was blood. It's always way worse when there is blood. Luckily, for us, we found some EMT's to help us out. These guys we so sweet to her. They got her cleaned up and sent us on our way.

Some people wear stars and stripes to see the Texas Rangers play the Boston Red Sox and some don't. Forever Royals.

Bless her heart!
This boy loves him some baseball.

Big Papi
George W was there!

Thanks, Nick, for the tickets and great seats!
Rangers were winning the whole game and at the very end Boston came back and won. Bummer! We were cheering for the hometown team. This little lady decided she's a Ranger fan but asked to keep that a secret. Oops!
The glasses were a give away at the stadium.
They both look pretty darn cute!
That's a wrap on day number 1.
Phew! It was a long one but oh so great!
