The Life Aquatic

For Memorial Day weekend, we loaded up the car and headed to the lake. On Saturday we headed over to the Barnett's lake house. It was too cold to get in the water but we hung out on the dock. Maddox had a great time.

Back at Grammy and Papi's, taking a break from the sun

On Sunday, Maddox got up and helped Papi water the plants

Then did some exercises with Grammy

Then the ladies went to The Fish for lunch. Maddox bellied up to the bar

In the afternoon, we decided to take Maddox to the pool for the first time. We put his swimming diapers on, blew up a raft for him to play in, everything was perfect. Everything.

We decided that Maddox's first experience may have failed because we were using the raft so we tried again. The results were the same.

It's been a long weekend and we are getting up early tomorrow to try to beat the traffic. Nothing like driving behind a caravan of trucks towing boats at 20 miles per hour slower than the speed limit to make you want to drive off a bridge.

i love it! Those pictures of him smiling toward the top are adorable! he better warm up to the water though like his momma! I just signed Seth up for a parent and tot swimming lesson! haha ... am i serious? It starts in a few weeks and i'm hoping Seth has fun! He loves splashing in the tub, but i'm guessing the pool is a whole different thing!
