Bits and Pieces

It's been brought to our attention (Mike) that we have been slacking on the blog updates. We haven't really had a whole lot to blog about because this cold weather has kept us inside for most of the month. Here is a little recap of the last few weeks.

We had a wedding reception to attend at the end of January so Papi and Grammy came up to babysit. We hadn't seen them since before Christmas so the visit was long overdue. We all met at the mall. We had a few returns to make and Maddox got to ride the carousel. After the mall we headed to Chick-Fil-A for a delicious lunch. Lunch was followed by naps and the playground. Before we knew it, it was nighttime and we headed to the reception. Maddox and Sage got in a little extra playtime and then it was off to bed. Papi and Grammy always tend to wear them out.

This carousel is fast!

At the beginning of the month the had this crazy blizzard. The radio people called it SNOW-M-G. We even got two snow days because of it. It was wonderful!

Last weekend the Rockley 5 came up for a visit. We introduced them to Monkey Bizness. Since we have had so much snow and freezing cold temps the place was packed. There were people everywhere! The kids didn't care. They had a great time. After Monkey Bizness we came home and had some yummy tacos. After some more playtime and baths the Rockleys headed back to the Lake. We had a nice visit and can't wait to hang out again soon. Sadly, we only got two pictures of the day.

Sage and Maddox have both taken their turns being sick. Maddox had a respiratory virus and Sage had RSV. I'm sure that's what Maddox had but since he's over two he wasn't tested for it. It's really dangerous for babies to have and a lot of time they are hospitalized. Luckly, we were able to monitor Sage and home. She was out of daycare for the week so Grammy came to the rescue. This picture was taken at the end of the week. She was feeling much better. Maddox was making her laugh.

It warmed up a little after the week of RSV so Maddox was able to get outside and play. He had fun throwing snowballs but his hands were "cold freezing" when he was done.

Valentines Day cookies for the kids at daycare.

GP has been in Florida for work and found some Mickey Mouse goodies. Maddox enjoyed getting to open the package and was excited to see Mickey Mouse inside.

This past weekend we headed to the Lake. We haven't been to the Lake since before Christmas and there were some aunties that were really anxious to see us. We arrived to a delicious spaghetti dinner on Friday evening. After dinner we went to school to see Papi and Paul at the basketball game. Saturday was pretty low key. A little basketball for Sean and Paul and another visit to school to visit Papi. So far Maddox thinks school is a really fun place to be. Who wouldn't love running in the halls? We left for Kansas after a little BBQ on Sunday afternoon. Not a whole lot of pictures were taken for some reason.

Sage's Valentine flower was waiting for her in her swing.

Licking a little icing off the beater

Sage really liked her flower. She even picked off a few petals to play with.

Maddox's Valentine's balloon. He LOVED it and carried it around most of the weekend.

Today we were lucky enough to have the day off. Got to love a three day weekend! BUT it's always so sad to see it come to an end.

This is right before Maddox went to bed. He LOVES this hat of Seans. He isn't much of a hat guy but really loves to wear this one.

There you have it. Our less than exciting month all wrapped up in one post. Great things are going to happen in March so stay tuned.
