Last Friday we got up early and hit the road on a mission to see Shamu. Maddox spent the car ride watching movies and getting some work done.

Sage just watched us through her mirror. Both of them were excellent in the car.
We stopped in Ft. Worth to visit and hang out with the Naughtons, Carmans and Mimi. We made it there in record time! We had 3 stops and fought some road construction and still made it there in 8 hours. After we had been there for about an hour Papi and Grammy surprised us by arriving a whole 8 hours early. Those tricksters! Papi, Maddox and Mimi headed to the park while Uncle Bob played with Sage.
Saturday morning we were treated to a pancake breakfast at Mimi's. Maddox got to play with Uncle Bob before he headed off to work.

Sage hanging with Donal
No trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth is complete without a trip to Sam Moon. Sage and Aunt Lynn posing by the bows. Look at that wall of bows!
While we vistied Sam Moon, Sean met up with his friend Kyle to watch some basketball. Maddox, Papi, Donal and Monica stayed home and played. I think they also took another trip to the park.
That evening we had a cookout for Mimi's birthday. Cousin Michael and Keight even stopped by!
Mimi got to hold these two cuties while we sang to her.
Relaxing on the swing after a delicious dinner.
On Sunday morning, we woke up early and headed to San Antonio to Sea World. It was a little chilly on the way there. By the time we arrived the weather was perfect!
Sage was excited! Look at those cheeks!
Maddox was tired of waiting to see Shamu so he really wasn't happy. He was giving us his best Charlie Brown impression.
Sage was into it...
So was Maddox.
The big kids also hit up a few roller coasters (we're in the 1st and 2nd rows).
Finally, it was time to see Shamu. We actually went to the Shamu show twice, with some roller coasters in between, the pics are all together though.

After SeaWorld, we headed to the hotel for some much needed rest.
and made Papi try it out
The next morning we headed to the Riverwalk for breakfast. Maddox helped Sage with her toy.
Then she thanked him with a love slap.
After the Riverwalk we drove back to Ft. Worth. We had a great dinner at Rosa's before calling it a night.
Tuesday morning we said our good byes and started our trip back to Kansas. We stopped in Wichita for lunch with Mike and made it home around 4:30. We have some great little travelers!
On the way home, it was back to business as usual.
It was a great trip! We can't wait to go back!
