Twas three nights before Christmas and Maddox and Mommy were baking cookies because Santa was coming early before the Kearneys left for the lake.

Maddox left a special message to Santa: "Please look at my gingerbread house and eat a cookie but remember its very hot."
The next morning, The stockings were full and there were some presents on the hearth and others under the tree

Later that day, we loaded up the car and headed to the lake for Christmas with the Suttons. Sage let Paul know she was there

The next day, Whitey and Arlene came by to visit and gave Maddox Cars a floor puzzle
Sage got a money jar and some change to fill it up with. Aunt Elizabeth helped and Maddox watched in the background to make sure Elizabeth wasn't filling her pockets

Maddox was pretty excited for his remote control Lightning McQueen. After opening it, he didn't want to open anything else, he wanted to play.

After all the presents were opened under the tree, Papi took Maddox and Sage downstairs to find their last presents
Maddox was skeptical
but Sage was ready to jump on their new vehicles. Sage rode her Tinkerbell 4-wheeler around the basement

Sage decided she wanted to step up to the big leagues and hopped on Maddox's hog
Later, Uncle Ryan took Maddox outside so he could open it up on his scooter

Then tried to pretend she was innocent with her hands behind her back
We had a great time at the lake. Maddox and Sage had so much fun and loved all of their toys. They posed one last time by the tree before the trip back to KC.
Once we got back to KC, Gran and GP watched Maddox and Sage so Mommy and Daddy could go on a date
The Tuesday after Christmas, Mommy and Daddy took the day off for more Christmas activities. First, we all went to Grandma McCarthy's for a visit. Daddy and Maddox snacked and chatted.

That night, we all headed over to Uncle Ben and Aunt Erin's for Kearney Christmas. Sage checked out baby Elsie

Everyone was sad to see Gran and GP head back to Virginia but was so glad they came for Christmas.
Christmas 2011 was the best one yet. Sage was really into it this year and Maddox had so much fun. The only issue is we don't have room for all the great stuff we got.
