Hopping Down the Bunny Trail

Friday afternoon we started our Easter weekend with a trip to the lake. I left work after lunch and on my way to pick up the kids I received a message from Rebecca (the day care provider) saying Sage was running a fever and not acting like herself. After a quick stop by the walk-in clinic and a tonsillitis diagnosis, we were finally on our way. We got to the BBQ at Papi and Grammy's a little late but we made it! It was a lot of fun but I didn't get many picutres. There were lots of kids, lots of food and lots of fun (that included lots of golf cart rides).

I did snap these two of Autie Elizabeth getting there. Maddox and Sage were excited to see her!

Saturday morning, Grammy was in the fridge and Sage snuck an egg. All I heard was a crack. I turned around and this is what I saw.

She was so proud of this "hat."

While the guys were golfing, we got hair cuts. Maddox is a pro.

This is Sage's first. She was scared of the cape so we covered her with a towel. The sucker did the trick for most of the cut but she was tired and still not feeling great so she sort of melted towards the end. She just got a little trim and probably no one would even notice but to me, it looks so much better.

After hair cuts we went home and had some lunch. We put their whole lunch in Easter eggs. It was a fun little treat. They loved it.

After lunch, it was off to the golf course. The tournament was just finishing up so Maddox got to ride around with Sean for his last hole.

And Sage got to ride with Papi and Whitey.

Then they got to do some putting while we waiting to hear the winners. Pauly and Sean's team came in second. Yay!

It was raining and wet so we did a little egg hunt downstairs. Sage didn't care a whole lot about the eggs. She was more into the candy inside. She decided to take a break and share with Pauly.

Maddox helped make the letter wall for baby Wyatt's room. He was in charge of the "M." He was so proud of it.

Before we went to bed on Saturday, we dyed Easter eggs. We dyed a lot of eggs and Maddox loved it!

Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny hid those eggs outside to hunt. He's so sneaky!

After all the eggs were found we came back in to find Easter baskets. The Bunny left a jelly bean trail to the baskets. Maddox followed it fast but Sage picked it up as she went.

Eating a few on the way!

Finally, baskets!!!

They were pretty excited about the watering cans they got. Maddox couldn't wait to test it out.

Taking a picture break...posing on the table that Uncle Bob made! We love that table and he did a great job!!!
After a delicious late breakfast, we headed back to Kansas. It was a great weekend!
