Saturday we loaded up the kids and headed to Baldwin City where we met Uncle Ben, Aunt Erin, Lydia and Elsie for a trip on the Easter Egg Train.

The conductor took our tickets and we boarded the green train (Maddox wanted a red train but they didn't have one)
We found some seats at the front and prepared for our trip. The train would take us 6 miles to another town where we would hunt for Easter Eggs and then head back

It was fun riding the rails. It was also realistic, with a real, live hobo.

During the ride, they took families back one at a time to meet the Easter Bunny. Sage was not a fan
Maddox was even less of a fan. This is as close as he got
We finally arrived at the hunting grounds. They had an area for ages 6+ and one for 5 and under. All 4 kids still had trouble beating the older kids to eggs.
But, they still had fun

While we were hunting, the engine moved to the other side of the train it could take us back
We finally got back to the depot and everyone was beat. The trip was fun but was too long. After we loaded up, we headed to Grandma McCarthy's for a few minutes before lunch. Maddox gave Lydia and Elsie their Easter baskets while Sage slept.
We visited with Grandma for a bit
Then headed to Red Robin for lunch. The end to a fun morning.

Okay this looks like so much fun! Why have I never heard of it? Although, I would have been scared by that crazy bunny myself ... they need to get a less creepy looking bunny costume!
