The kids and I stayed at the lake for the week after the wedding. We were hoping for sun and swimming all week but instead we got lots and lots of rain. So much rain that there was some major flooding in some nearby counties. We made the best of our week and enjoyed playing and visiting with some other family members that were also in town.
We were able to catch an hour of no rain at the country club pool. It was FREEZING but Papi was a trooper and got in with the babes.
Maddox didn't want to leave but his lips were blue and he was shaking from the cold.
Pauly and Gracie joined us!
Lots of golf cart rides.
Snuggles with Mimi.
Wyatt has been a sick little boy. He was in the hospital the weekend before the wedding with a virus in his intestines. He was in bad shape but was able to be at the wedding for a few hours. He still wasn't feeling the best last week but we were able to get a few smiles. Maddox is always good at getting him to laugh.
This is Donal, my cousins husband. Sage and Donal became best buds. She even picked to sit by him over Papi, which is a HUGE deal and like a dagger to Papi's heart. At least he lives in Texas so Papi doesn't have to compete for her attention very often.
Taco Tuesday at Lake Valley.
Cuties
Auny Lynn, Uncle Bob, Monica and Donal were staying at a condo that had an indoor pool so we took advantage of it while it was raining.
One evening we played mini golf and had a pizza picnic afterwards.
No one could keep up with Uncle Bob and Maddox. They were super fast golfers.
Aunt Kristin took Maddox and Sage each on their own date. Sage picked a shopping date. She was so excited! Apparently, she picked out her clothes and danced around the store with excitement. She, also, had her own opinion of what she did and didn't like. Such a little sass!
Before she left she said she was going to pick up lots of pink clothes. She came home with a bag of pink clothes AND she was wearing some of her loot.
We had another afternoon with a short moment of sun so we headed to the Whitney's pool. Again, it was still pretty cold but we had a great visit. Sage preferred to sit on the side instead of braving the cold.
Cruising with Conner
Playing with Melinda
After a little bit of nervousness, Maddox concurred the slide!
Maddox picked fishing for his special date. That date had to include a few others. Uncle Ryan, Uncle Jake and Donal were happy to tag along. Donal picked up the fishing supplies and got the pole all ready. The date had to be postponed a day because of the rain so Maddox was extra excited when the time finally came.
No fish this time but he had a great time and even learned how to tell a "fish tale."
He loves his Papi.
