Our halloween celebrations started last Saturday at Grandma McCarthy's house. All the great-grandkids gathered for tricks and treats...mostly just treats.
Everyone was excited about the group picture.
We made sure to dress for the occasion all week.
Wednesday called for costumes! My work had it's annual halloween event so the kids got to come up and trick or treat. They always have the best time and come home with TONS of candy.
The best part is that Jake gets to come, too!
Enjoying a piece of candy from the day.
Maddox went to the pumpkin patch with his class and brought home this pumpkin to carve. They were so excited!
They told Sean what shape to make the eyes, nose, mouth and how many teeth the face should have.
They were pleased with the result!
Finally, halloween day! It was pajama day at school and you would have thought it was Chritsmas morning. They couldn't wait!
They had a little fall festival through out the day. Popcorn, candy corn and pumpkin relays! Doesn't get much better than that in their little world.
After school we came home to some fun mail from Papi and Grammy.
And Captain American stopped by for a visit.
A quick Jack-O-Lantern pizza dinner
and a visit to see Galen and Rebecca,
THEN it was FINALLY time to TRICK or TREAT!
They were both fast to say "trick or treat" and "thank you."
A huge improvement from last year. We were so proud!
Batman and Princess Sophia the First.
Tasting one piece of candy before baths and bed.
They had the best halloween week and we have more candy than we know what to do with.
