The very first thing that Maddox and Sage did this morning was look for a leprechaun. Last year, the leprechaun caused some mischief at their school and they remember every detail of it. They were convinced he was going to be up to his sneaky ways. They didn't find him but they were on guard.
Sage went to school and Maddox was home but both had big stories to share about their days. Sage said the leprechaun turned the toilet water green, left footprints, put chairs on the table and left a special treat. Maddox said the leprechaun turned his toilet water green, colored the milk green and left green skittles on the bed.
Maddox was on a mission to catch the naughty little guy. He set a trap with a basket and an unwrapped granola bar. And, wouldn't you know, that leprechaun opened the granola bar and took a bite but he still got away.
After all the excitement, we sat down to green pancakes and a rainbow fruit tray.
This morning, we woke up to a rainbow (really hard to see) and a pot of gold. Maybe, just maybe, that little leprechaun isn't all that bad.
