Spring Break is here!
This year is flying by!
Since we just got back from a big trip, Maddox spent spring break at home.
On a side note: our public school always gets days off. In fact, there has been 20 no school days this year- NOT including a 2 and a half week Christmas break and a 2 or 3 day Thanksgiving break. I know this is nice for the teachers and students but not so much for the working parents. So, spring break is exciting but it's another week of trying to figure out a Maddox sitter.
Poor Maddox was a hot potato all week but we made sure he got to do at least one fun thing each day.
Maddox started out spring break with a celebration meal at the restaurant of his choice- Red Robin!
Monday, he spent the day with Elliott.
He said he loved playing at the park and getting to hang out with Elliott all day. He even mentioned that Miss Maggi let him make his own peanut butter and jelly sandwich. That made his day, Maggi!
Tuesday, Sean worked from home so Maddox watched lots of movies. They did get to play a few games and were able to get outside to enjoy the weather. But, the sneaky Leprechaun did keep him busy.
Wednesday, he spend the day with Erin and Lydia. They went to Kaleidoscope and a little gym. He had fun and especially loved the rock wall.
Thursday and Friday were spent at home with Sean. They both did a lot of basketball watching, game playing and errand running. Maddox is obsessed with playing games so these days were right up his alley. There may or may not have been multiple ice cream trips, too.
Finally, on Monday, the final day of spring break, he spent with me. We went to work for a few hours, went to a park and had a sweet lunch date.
This is the neatest park I've ever seen. Maddox is a climber so naturally, he LOVED it.
The only way to get to this slide is to climb these ropes. I'm certain he did this at least 50 times.
Maybe the longest slide in park history.
The week was looooong but he enjoyed his little stay-cation.
Special thanks to Maggi and Erin for letting Maddox be part of your days.
