Omaha

GP and Gran treated us to a weekend trip to Omaha. 

So, we loaded up and headed north. 

The main attraction of the weekend was the zoo. One would think that driving 3 hours north would find some relief from the mid-July heat. Not so. It was a steamy day at the Omaha Zoo. STEAMY! But still fun none the less.

Maddox was in a hurry most of the day but slowed down to pet the sting rays.  

Check out the cub over Sage's shoulder. He was really into her.  

After we finished up at the zoo we sneaked over to get some ice cream. The perfect treat to cool us off. 

We ended the day with a BBQ and bed time stories. 

We started Sunday out with a friendly game of foosball. 

Followed by a fun trip to a local park. 

We rounded out the weekend with lunch downtown before heading home. 

A sign of a good weekend is always a car nap on the way home.
